PLIGHT OF COMMON PEOPLE AFTER DEMONETISATION

Demonetization ,was a crusade of the century launched  against Corruption, Black money and Fake currencies because these are also responsible & helps in the cross-border terrorism . Previous governments too , took actions but were  not at all satisfactory at all.

The implementing part of Demonetization was not yielding result as expected.  To be blunt , it seems , no proactive measures were taken before implementation . That too when it is going to affect the huge masses , covering whole country i.e. about 125 crores people.

The notable cause of failures of implementing part of Demonetization  are :

1. Frequent change in slabs for withdrawal, exchange& deposits.
2.Frequent change in qualifying criteria  for withdrawal, exchange, deposits
3.Non readiness of ATM's to take new notes of  new sizes.
4 Non availability of sufficient cash.
5. Non availability of lower denomination notes .
6. Non availability of sufficient trained staff to tackle such ticklish situations.
7. Asking 50 days for implementation is too long
8. Reliefs are being granted by RBI in installments , not in one go.

This all have created tensions , chaos in the society.Looking above , it gives an impression that decision to implement demonetization was an hasty decision, without proper homework,  thought and without proper  preparedness.  As per report many people's have died while settling the queues which could have been well avoided.

Many of our society have termed the demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes  as financial anarchy  in the country and people of all cross sections of society specially poor were the worst-hit since last seven days. Some criticized it  as a cure worse than the disease.

No doubt , demonetization was a brave and finest move taken  for betterment of the country but proactive measures & preparation were not up to the mark. It is a war against black money and every war needs good preparation.

Prime Minister's move is sincere, honest ,bold ,futuristic, far sighted but the execution part left wanting. Govt should allow people to use the old currency till December 31 in all public utilities like journeys, hospitals, medical shops, tax payments, phone payments, to purchase food grains, and essential commodities strictly .Ultimately the result will speak .
