Islamic teachings are against suicide and killing of innocent people but Al Qaeda and ISIS interpreted this in a very different way and made a new & separate forum to gain undue power ,money and control over innocent peoples under a new brand name which is known as Islamism to justify their heinous crimes of terrorism .Osama Bin Laden founded Al Qaeda on this ground. But even after his death in 2011, Al Qaeda still persist & more recently new group emerged as ISIS .
The terrorists can be characterised as a group of people who threatened masses & society by using illegal force and violence by a non-state actor to attain selfish political, economic, religious , social goal through fear, coercion, intimidation or threat .
Day by day world is experiencing increase in terrorist attacks.The main terrorist based countries are Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Syria, Libiya , Yemen where from terrorists are exported to different countries with different names . The main terrorist groups responsible for the most of the attacks around the world are Taliban, Boko Haram, ISIS, Al-Qaeda , Jaesh e Moh , Lashker e Toiba. The common factor amongst them are act of brutality , terror & religion .
The latest incident of this type of cowardice act is Amarnath attack in India on pilgrims in Kashmir few days back i..e. on , 10th July . It draws international condemnation and their pledges as well to fight against terrorism tooth & nail.
The whole international community stood united in condemning this horrific attack on innocent Amarnath Yatra pilgrims . All pledged support to stand by India in their fight against terrorism. United States said it deplores this strike cowardly attack on Amarnath pilgrims & vows to fight terror shoulder to shoulder with India .White House said this is a attack on religious freedom , the most fundamental right of liberty. Extend condolences to the victim's families and the people of India. United States assured India that will continue to fight terrorist threats in every part of world . India's neighbour Bangladesh ,Nepal pledged to work with India in fighting extremism and radicalism .
Germany, strongly condemned terrorist attack in Jammu & Kashmir in which seven Amarnath yatris killed by terroists and more than a dozen were wounded. Germany said they resolutely stands by India in their fight against terrorism and extremism.
France also condemns this which claimed lives of innocent pilgrims who were travelling in Bus to the Amarnath shrine. France conveyed their condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. France assured the people and authorities of India of its solidarity.
Afghanistan, which is at the front-line in the fight against terrorism, has always shown its honesty and valor in counter-terrorism efforts, once again promised on putting up a collective and earnest fight against terrorism through a unified strategy . Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani said, "being enemies of civilisation and humanity, terrorists don't respect any religion and law but in order to propagate terror and hate, they target civilians including women and children.
The whole world thus condemned this terrorist attack with the same rehotic : Zero tolerance policy against terrorism and violent extremism should be adopted to deal with terrorism in all forms and manifestations .
IT IS ONLY A LIP SERVICE , ALWAYS GIVEN BY INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY ON SUCH INCIDENTS WITHOUT ANY CONCRETE MEASURES OR ACTION PLAN .ONE CAN VERY WELL UNDERSTAND THIS , FROM THE FACT THAT , AFTER SO MANY YEARS ,UNSC ,COULD NOT DEFINE TERRORISM. THE BILL IS STILL PENDING .TO ADD WITH , A PERMANENT MEMBER OF UNSC VETOED A BILL WHICH WAS ON BANNING A TERRORIST OUT FIT & ITS LEADER .SO ONLY CONDEMNATION AND CONDOLENCES FOR SUCH HEINOUS CRIME FROM INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY WILL NOT DO ANY GOOD .
Failure to deal with terrorism internationally is due to its politisiation to serve self interest.Hope for terrorist meaning of sunrise & sunset will change one day keeping humanity in mind .A global ‘deterrent’ action against countries that support terrorism for their political goals should be taken .It is important to deter countries that supports terrorism and closure of terror funding sources by exercising the international law. De-radicalization programmes will put the efforts in good direction.
Global response to terror is very weak and the world leaders need to make concrete efforts against those providing all sort of help & safe-havens to terrorists.
